What a Marketing Manager does at Visa


The individual will be responsible for implementing client marketing VAS projects to our clients in Vietnam & Laos and delivering tactical marketing solutions by working closely with local and regional marketing teams, regional Partner Marketing Services team, Business Development team, Visa’s Consulting team, and external agencies.



The secondary scope of this role is to support for client marketing VAS team in terms of reporting and update for revenue and expense to senior management, regional team, BPO/ Strategy team, and Finance team on provisioned templates and Visa internal systems. There may also be 10% of the capacity of this role that will be dedicated to supporting the Vietnam marketing team on client events, merchandising, and other client marketing engagements.



The Manager will report to the Head of Marketing, Vietnam and Laos, and based in Ho Chi Minh.



Key Responsibilities:



  • Bring the “best of Visa” marketing to our key clients and work cohesively with Visa marketing community locally, regionally, and globally, as well as the local Vietnam Business Development, Visa Consulting and Business Development teams.
  • Be responsible for implementing Marketing VAS projects, selling Marketing VAS for assigned clients/ projects, and handling co-marketing client engagements with local Visa Client Marketing team and Business Development Teams.
  • Work with Visa Client Marketing Team to support to generate new revenue streams and create integrated Marketing VAS proposals including marketing insight, marketing strategy, creative services and production, marketing execution, media planning and deployment, global/ regional/ local sponsorships, and other customized services to support client’s objectives from launch to acquisition, activation, usage, and retention.
  • Closely engage with clients in QBRs, regular client meetings and engagements.
  • Work closely with all relevant marketing and finance teams, locally and regionally, and external agencies to ensure the effective and timely delivery of revenue and margins associated to Marketing VAS commitments.
  • Support local Visa Client Marketing team in terms of reporting and updates for revenue and expense for senior management, regional team, BPO/ Strategy team, and Finance team on provisioned templates and Visa internal systems.
  • Take charge of administrative deliverables related to client marketing project management and VAS including but not limited to marketing approvals, procurement processes, contract management and VIK process management in full compliance with Visa’s policy and process.
  • Be responsible to support marketing related activities in cross-functions / company events as assigned and upon business context and requirements (client forums, client events, merchandising, and other client marketing engagements). Participate in the internal business agenda and activities cross-functionally as assigned and act as Visa’s brand custodian to ensure all marketing materials adheres to internal branding guidelines.

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.


Qualifications


What you will need

• Minimum 8 years of proven experience of consumer and client marketing management, top-tier Financial, Payments, Technology or FMCG industry preferred – from client or agency’s side
• Strong in implementation of an integrated marketing campaign, digital and social marketing skills, good track record on assessing campaign performance. Highly creative and exposure in consumer research (qualitative, quantitative) and measurement from user’s view.
• Digital marketing experience will be an advantage.
• Bachelor’s degree preferably Finance, Marketing or Communications or equivalent.
• Collaborative when working with functions and possess a client-centric mindset.
• Strong in consultative selling skills, analytical thinking, complex project management and budget management skills. Solutions-focused and connects the dots to leverage the best of Visa’s assets and resources.
• Strong presentation, interpersonal, communication and negotiation abilities in both verbal and written formats in both English and Vietnamese.
• Possess high learning agility, can-do attitude, and hands-on experience.
• Passion for digital payments, technology innovation, with high energy and intelligence.
• An independent individual, yet a reliable team player.
