As a Business Development Manager in the Bank Partnership group, you will oversee the solutions and partnerships with designated Bank and/or Financial institutions partners, which serve as the financial and cash flow infrastructure for MoMo’s products and services. This position also coordinates closely with Product, Technology, and other internal departments to bring deliver new initiatives and enhance existing solutions.
What you will do
- Optimise banking and FI service costs:
- Own fundamental bank and financial institutes (FI) service costs, including managing tracking and monitoring, data analysis, oversee operational optimisation by coordinating internal stakeholders.
- Develop and drive initiatives, including structuring innovative solutions, with Product, Technology and Business Development team, ensuring MoMo’s positioning and commercial benefits.
- Proactively anticipate and identify potential, changes risks and issues that may impact MoMo’s products and services, and develop mitigation strategies.
- Optimise service quality:
- Own banking service quality, especially system integration and services’ success rate.
- Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, timelines, resource allocation, and budget estimates for quality improvements, alternatives and service continuity.
- Serve as Bank Partnerships’ owner in cross functional teams especially Product, Technology, Finance, Legal and other major internal stakeholders to deliver on critical projects with our Bank partners.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and contribute to the development and replication of best practices with Banks and FIs.
- Foster a customer-centric culture within the team and consistently focus on delivering solutions that are engaging and highly adopted by customers.
- Develop and deliver new bank services:
- Develop and deliver new bank services by connecting MoMo’s product and service requirements with Bank partners’ capabilities and priorities.
- Plan and replicate new services to multiple selective Bank partners, maximising operational efficiency and MoMo’s benefits.
- Drive Open banking enablement:
- Liaise closely with Product, Technology and Bank partnerships team to develop new products, services and solutions that serve future Open banking models and customer centric.
- Evaluate, identify and build best practices that are scalable, and replicable.
- Manage Sources of Funds (SoF):
- Own MoMo’s SoF products and services. Drive for SoF diversity, growth readiness and user experience.
- Serve as SoF champion to maintain and optimise MoMo’s services and sources of funds.
- Partnership Management:
- Nurture of Bank and FI partnerships, in collaboration with the Business Development team, from identification, stakeholder management, integration, and successful relationship management.
- Build strong relationships by understanding our partners’ business, responding promptly to partner requests/ inquiries and supporting their priorities to achieve growth in new and existing sectors.
- Manage competing priorities among bank partners.
What you will need
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or a related field;
- Knowledge of the e-wallet market, payment intermediaries and banking systems.
- Experience in the financial services industry, with understanding of banking products/services and banking/fintech preferred;
- Project management skills;
- Good in communication, presentation and interpersonal skills;
- Good in negotiation and problem-solving skills; relationship building skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams;
- Exceptional sense of customer centricity.
