The Corporate Strategy & Investment Senior Associate will play a crucial role in supporting the company’s corporate strategy and investment activities. This role will involve managing and monitoring the financial performance of key investments, executing strategic projects, and providing support to Senior Leadership team to ensure the success of company-wide key initiatives aimed at scaling or improving operational efficiency. The candidate will work closely with the Supervisor and Senior Leadership team of VNG as well as other cross-functional teams to drive the performance of investment and strategic decisions that align with the company’s long-term business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Investment Management:
- Manage and monitor the financial performance of the company’s portfolio of investments.
- Conduct financial analysis and performance tracking of existing investments, partnerships, and new ventures.
- Post-deal monitoring, including financial reporting, performance evaluation, and initiation of divestments.
Project Management:
- Lead and execute key investment and partnership projects, from idea initiation to implementation.
- Co-ordinate the workflow of cross-functional teams to ensure smooth execution of strategic projects and initiatives.
- Provide project management for key business initiatives aimed at enhancing operational efficiency, driving innovation, and supporting long-term growth.
Financial Analysis & Modeling:
- Prepare financial models for new investment, project, and product ideas, including projections, scenario analysis, and valuation.
- Conduct financial analysis to evaluate both existing businesses and potential opportunities.
- Provide senior leadership team data-driven insights and recommendations for investment decisions.
Market Intelligence & Research:
- Conduct market intelligence and industry research relevant to the company’s core businesses.
- Provide well-presented research reports and presentations to senior management and stakeholders from time to time and upon request based on business needs.
Strategic Planning Support:
- Assist in developing the company’s long-term strategic plans, including inputs for corporate strategy discussions and strategic initiatives.
- Support in the preparation of key communication materials for both internal and external audiences.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field. MBA or CFA is a plus.
- Minimum 3-4 years of combined experience in finance, investments, consulting, or project management.
- Strong understanding of financial statements, financial analysis, and financial modeling.
- Excellent research, presentation, and analytical skills with a high level of attention to detail.
- Strong business acumen, communication, with the ability to present complex information clearly.
- Ability to work independently and proactively and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
