Job purpose


Responsible for Trade product management including Documentary Trade and Open Account Trade.

Responsibilities


You will be part of the product management team that drives trade product value propositions.


You will manage the full range of Trade products including Documentary Trade and Open Account Trade. This includes structuring seamless and cost-effective client solutions with the Sales and Client Coverage team, competitive analysis, managing product risks and implementing regulatory changes.


Whether it is through conducting market research, or by enhancing product features to meet customers' needs, you will have every opportunity to shape the business




1. Enhancing documentary trade product propositions that include:


  • Streamlining of policies and processes and managing of risks with key stakeholders to provide the best customer experience and achieve operational efficiencies, benchmarking against industry best practices.
  • Developing system features that meet clients’ business requirements, simplify customer experience and improve operational efficiencies

2. Developing Open Account Trade product propositions that include:


  • Conducting market and customer research to identify revenue growth opportunities in Open Account Trade.
  • Developing new product offerings that are within the regulatory limits to capture the opportunities.
  • Developing system features that meet clients’ business requirements, regulatory requirement, simplify customer experience and improve operational efficiencies.

3. Commercialising Documentary Trade and Open Account Trade products including identifying revenue growth opportunities from existing customer base, managing customer technical on-boarding, client demo, training and customized implementation process to facilitate new client on-boarding, structuring and solutioning deals with the Sales and Client Coverage team.


4. Identifying opportunities in platforms and work with ecosystem partners to scale the business.


5. Establishing close working relationship with functional stakeholders, ranging from Business Units, Legal, Credit, Technology and Operations to achieve strong business momentum and effective/efficient end-to-end processe



Requirements


  • At least 10 to 15 years of experience
  • Ability to conceptualize and execute strategic product initiatives independently
  • Good interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
  • Able to manage projects and multiple partners and stakeholders
  • Ability to work both as an individual as well as a team member
  • Energetic team player, highly motivated with strong analytical skills
  • Ability to think creatively to solve problems
  • Strong interpersonal and influencing skills
  • Experience in documentary trade products (LC, Import Financing, Guarantees, EBLC, SBLC) and Open Account Trade (Distributor financing, supplier financing, supply chain financing)
  • Proficiency in risk concepts, legal documentation, operations, systems, pertinent regulatory requirements and related pronouncements, including related best practices
